Does cheap fumed work on the outside of a piece rub off over time? If so why?

Silver will stay well, gold will not.  You may not even see a cheap piece made with gold. Now, there is a difference between cheap and affordable.  Much of Elev8’s low end line is very affordable, and even the p95 will not have the fume rub off.
