The reality is that whatever method you like best, is what is best for you.
We do feel however any flavor disc pipe needs a flavor saver.

We do feel that is the only benefit and a rig will offer a much better experience and the water cooling will be nice on your lungs.

So many things affect this. 1 is supply and demand. New colors cost more because they are new. Then maybe a batch was destroyed, so that has to be put into the second batch.
The second is that the glass color could be a secret, this is worth more as others do not have it, kinda supply and demand.
The third is the materials used for colorant.
