Because quartz is very good with thermal dynamics, as well as it can be cleaned easily.
Ceramic is hard to clean, and TI will start to change colors. Some people also do not like the metal taste made by TI. Quartz is just clean, strong and looks nice
Well yes and no. Glass is not porus, while ceramic many times is. So, if you do not need the ceramic to absorb, yes they work the same
There are many glass artists that sandblast the glass deep. It is rarer than working the glass only in fire as one also has to have software, vinyl cutter, and sand blaster. This put the reach of sandblasting out of some blowers.
This happens when the blower gets the opal too hot. When you see this, it means the blower did not have a great understanding of the heat in the glass. Not that the blower is bad, just they may be learning, or had a miss happ
A carb cap does help to make a bigger hit.
While the manufacture says it is safe, and we believe it, we do feel that small particles do happen and you will intake some of the rez block, but it is such a small amount it may be nothing.
Rez Block works by coating the surface of the glass with an oil. This oil helps to prevent resin from sticking to the glass. Yes, with regular water changes it does help to keep the resin build up lower.
This is a really crazy process, not fully known to the world. This is a trade secret. But, what we think is it is form of carbon tech. Where the blower somehow puts a graphic on the glass after they get a lot of carbon on the glass. Then they fume it. The fume only sticks where the carbon is not. This can give a very clean image. But we do not fully know the process
Yes, this is called a splash guard. There are also other designs out there.
But if you fill your waterpipe up too much, you will eventually get water in your mouth.
