Your Surfer SSV or DBV is combusting or any desktop vape is combusting flower if the temp is too high.
The super surfer has 3 settings if you have the quartz dab dish. The highest setting is for using the whip, and you fill find this sweet spot.
The next is for the bag, which will be about 1/2 to 1/3 the temperature when used for the whip. This is because when drawing by a whip the air travels a bit faster than when a bag is filler.
The third temperature is for the dab dish and this will be even lower of a heat setting as the prior two methods are for convection heating, while dabbing is conduction heating.
