Silicon does not melt. This is a true test to know if you have silicon or not. If it melts, it is not silicon. Silicon will start to combust at about 572 degrees F. It is said silicon is basically good up to 600 degrees F.
Because no one knows the temperature of their dab straw or dabbing devices, we recommend not to use silicon for dabbing.
