Many times we feel this is not worded properly. There is a lot of bullshit out there. The only heater we know that is encased so the element lasts longer is a ceramic heating element.
Now when some manufacturers say they have a cermic coil, or titainum coil, they are meaning that the wire is wrapped around a piece of ceramic or quartz. This is no differnt than if the heating wire was wrapped around boro, they are just using key words to trick you. If you see a ceramic heater, it will be like the heater below in our wax maxer. This heater is fully encased.
