Is the wire on the european models of the vaporizers thicker than the US models due to the difference of voltage (110 vs 220)?

No, they use the same size wire just different plugs.  The higher voltage would actually allow us to use a smaller wire for EU, but we use only the best for all and like to keep the thicker wire for more durability as well.
