Better and best are a weird word. What is best is decided by the person who has or wants something. Our perception has a huge effect on what is best.
Steam rollers tend to give big hard hits as there is a lot of space inside a steam roller if we are talking about a larger sized one. For a smaller one, we find that they work much like a pipe but is held differently.
A steam roller will allow the hit to come in harder than a pipe as the “CARB” hole is massive most always compared to that of a carb on a pipe.
It all comes down to what you like best.
