If you mean to color it or add to it yes. Gold can only be fumed on boro, but gold leaf can be applied to soft glass as it will not get as hot as boro.

Why do some carb caps not have an air hole for air flow?
Some carb caps use groves carved from the sides to let the air come in and hit the puddle of concentrates allowing the to vaporizer better.
