What exactly is glass coefficiency?

Home Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Glass Information What exactly is glass coefficiency?....

Glass coefficiency is basically compatibility.  How can the glass cooperate with itself or other types of glass.  AKA COE for Coefficient of Expansion.

Everything has a COE.  Boro is 33, this is actually 3,300,000.  What this really means is it has good thermal resistance.  But below is a comparison

(≈3.3 × 10−6 K−1)

Boro 3,300,000

Soft 9,600,00

Quartz 55,000,000

General thermal expansion coefficient

In the general case of a gas, liquid, or solid, the volumetric coefficient of thermal expansion is given by
