Really this all comes down to the artist and the customer. How much time goes into a piece will determine the cost to the customer. The customer only has so much money.
Sometimes prep takes so long that if the pipe were too large, it would become too expensive.
Size does make it cost more, as there is more time and glass, but also the techniques also make a huge effect on price
