have we made a “shock proof ssv” something out of all metal that would never break? or is glass the most important element to the ssV

The SSV is built using the best materials that are also affordable.  Glass is best for some things, and metal for others.  We feel the SSV is the perfect combination.  Hot metals can give off free radicals
