No, glass is glass. Elev8 Premier does use Shott glass, which is made in Germany. The reason for this, is the Germans have some of the best tools for making glass and the tubes come straighter than any other brand.

No, only rubies and sapphires can be used for the Baller Series heater. Borosilicate will melt to the heater and damage it.
Could you make a hot wand for lighting hash out of the SSV heating element?
You could use it for that, but the best way is to load the bowl with the hash. If you find it going through the screen, mix in a little flower, just a little to help it stay where it should
