Does volume of the carb cap affect it’s functionality? (i.e. larger ball caps vs. smaller ones)

Is it just about the direction of the airflow and size of the hole? Does the volume of the ball or bubble affect anything other than banger compatibility?

We feel the inside volume has nothing to do with the function of the carb cap.  We feel the diameter of the carb cap is made to only match the size of the banger it will be used with.  The larger the holes the more the air will flow.  This all also really comes down to personal preference if you want a fast or slow hit

why do some colors not work for millies?

With millies the color must be able to stay the color when pulled very thin.  Many times transparent colors will not be a good choice for millies.  Also, the colors must be stable or it could cause the full millie to crack.

What’s the purpose of the Turbo Guard for the Blazer Big Shot torches?

The purpose of the Turbo Guard is to add mass to the nozzle of your torch so that it does not get as hot. It is basically a heat sink for your nozzle, so all of the heat gets distributed through a larger mass, and thus it takes much more heat to get it as hot as the original nozzle would.

What is a post in glassblowing?

I was reading the description of the pi divider and it mentioned it was used for measuring posts. What is a post?  The post is what is referred to as what will pick up the sticks.  This smaller side is what will be the diameter of the bubble when you roll up the canes on the post.  See more in the video below.
