The Typhoon and Slurper by Elev8 have a dropdown built in for 2 main reasons. The drop down prevents oils from getting sucked into the rig. The drop down puts the banger away from your face, making it safer and easier.
Tool marks on glass are caused by just that, a tool used to shape the glass when molten and malleable. These can be removed with extreme heat, allowing the tool marks to melt away.

There is no best carb cap, but really what do you like. We find just a standard carb cap works great. You can move the carb cap around so it moves the air, moving the oils.
