Tool marks on glass are caused by just that, a tool used to shape the glass when molten and malleable. These can be removed with extreme heat, allowing the tool marks to melt away.

There is no best carb cap, but really what do you like. We find just a standard carb cap works great. You can move the carb cap around so it moves the air, moving the oils.
Glassblowers can use a titanium rod that is filed to a point with a little water or spit. Not sure why this works, but it does! They can also put on a platinum decal like some of the Elev8 Premier team does.
