Why do quartz dab straws last longer?

Quartz dab straws last longer because quartz is way more thermal resistant.  Boro is often over heated past 1050 and then it is un annealed, so it becomes brittle over time. The dab bat solves this in a way!

can a customer place an order for a hybrid import/american piece in store?

Absolutly!  Pull up the product on the site, build it with them, take the money, their info and then put the order into Trello.  Pick the water pipe from the shelf if you have it and get it to Becca to get to the studio to made ASAP

what is the difference between using multiple small terp perals vs just one or 2 larger ones

Really there is no difference.  The only thing is more to clean and easier to loose.

Is the vinyl tubing sold on the website a direct replacement for the Volcano Hybrid?

The tubing we sell on our site is a direct replacement for the SSV.  The tubing is made in the USA and the Volcano’s tubing is not.  The SSV tubing does work. Looking to upgrade a Volcano more, look at the bag set up, it will save you money in the long run!

why do opals crack so often?

Opals are not a perfect 33 COE.  Therefor sometimes they can crack in glass, even years later.  This is why Elev8 Premier rarely uses them, and if they do, it goes on a piece that can come off, if it were to crack. But they are always used because we love the sparkle!

Does Dicro burn?

Dicro can be burned out.  When this happens it looks more white like snow rather than that super shiny metal flake.  It takes skill to get the glass hot, but not too hot.

Why are some colors of glass more rare then others when they’re basically the same color as other glass?

This all comes down to what company makes it.   While some, colors may look the same, they are very different. It also comes down to if they start with cullet (clear glass).  Some start with sand.  Some use electric heaters and some use gas.  This all comes down to cost.

how can a customer find the nearest shop to them that sells SSV parts

As of now the best way is for them to call Elev8 Distribution and ask who is near them.  We do not have a great way on our site.
