How do I load concentrates into the Connect?

To load your concentrates into the G Pen Connect, first, remove the magnetic tank cap by gently pulling upward to reveal the tank underneath. Using any the tool of your choosing, place the concentrates directly onto the center of the ceramic heating element at the bottom of the tank. Once the tank is loaded, place the tank cap back onto the top of the tank.

What type of water piece will work with the G Pen Connect?

The G Pen Connect can attach to any water piece that is fitted with a female glass-on-glass joint. The Connect comes standard with a 14mm adapter, with 10mm and 18mm available separately. Please note that with the battery attached, the Connect may change the balance point of your piece.

My G Pen Connect doesn’t seem to be heating up – what can I do?

If it seems like your Connect isn’t heating while your battery is activated, first ensure the Connect Tank is screwed into the housing all the way. A slight loosening and re-tightening of the Tank will solve most heating issues immediately.  If the Connect Tank is properly screwed in and still not heating, check to make sure your Connect Battery is charged, properly attached, and powered on.

Why is the battery for my cartridge not charging?

This could be to a bad USB power cord.

It could be that the battery is just dead and will not charge.  They can only be charged about 300-500 times before there will be issues with them.

It got wet and no longer works

Is there a functional difference between a ball carb cap and a flat carb cap if they both have the directional spout on the underside?

This really depends on your banger, but the ball cap will give you a little bit more wiggle room (literally) so you can direct the airflow over the entire bottom of the banger. Flat caps are pretty much stuck at the angle of the spout if correctly placed flush on top of your banger, however, it really all comes down to preference and the style of banger you are using.

Why would I need a dab mat or glass mat?

Dab mats or glass mats are like coasters from your glass. It gives your piece something a little softer to sit on, which is nice for a glass tabletop, so you’re not clinking glass to glass. It can also help your piece sit more level, and it adds more friction to the base of the piece to keep it from sliding or knocking over as easily. But really, the main thing is that you get to put your functional art on some more functional art!

The dab mat also helps keep your table clean.  Dabs are fucking messy, so this helps keep it clean.  A silicone dab mat is best for dabbing as it is easy to clean with alcohol

What is the average cost of a glass pipe repair?

We charge $100 an hour.  There is no way to know what the average cost is.  This yes, is the hard part.  Our minimum charge to do a repair is $60.  This covers the cost of the blower and materials.  This is even if it takes us 10 minutes.  It took 10 minutes because we know what we are doing, not because it was easy.

How do I know if I need a 90° or a 45° angle banger?

The different angles on the bangers are there to keep the bottom of your bucket parallel with the table so you don’t have to hold your rig at a weird angle (which can make your percolator not function properly). A 90° banger is going to be the most popular, as most female rigs have a fixed down stem. The 45° angled bangers are typically for beakers or rigs with a removable down stem that also sits at a 45° angle, which will keep your banger in the perfect position.
