Is it possible to build a build a bong mouth piece with an ice catcher?
Absolutely, you just need to take the order and will need to talk with Jeff at Elev8 Premier to get it done. It will be about $10 more than a standard one to add the ice pinches.
Do you have wooden bases available for the SSV’s?
We do not make wooden bases, but a wooden base can be made by a quality wood crafter.
Some bubble caps have an angled cut on the spout, is there any functional reason for this?
If the tube is straight but cut at an angle this is for aesthetics only. The air needs to come out at an angle to get the terp pearls to spin.
In the image below you can see the tip is cut, but the air will still come straight down.
As you can see in the image below the air is now coming out at an agle, this will cause the air to spin more and spin your terp pearls and oils.
what is a Shine wrap or papers?
This is a brand of paper that is made with gold leaf. While these look great and you feel like a king smoking them, we do not feel they deliver the best smoking experience compared to a thin smoking paper.
But you look like a PIMP when you are smoking a gold joint.
what is ground glass?
Ground glass is where the manufacture grinds the glass to perfection. If you look at a glass joint and there is frosting or sandblasting that is the ground part. Glass joints are made by hand or a machine and are then perfected by grinding the joint with a diamond bit.
Are there colors you can’t make with fuming?
any dark opaque colors can not happen with gold or silver. The colors come from their colors at the atom level. Fuming is actually the first nanotechnology, being used by glass artists to turn the glass red or pink.
Explaining how this happens is for a scientist. Here is some help.
From what we know is that when we fume we are letting the gold stick to the glass, atom by atom. If an artist adds a lot of gold, you will see gold. Where there is just a little you will see pink (light red to a slight purple). When combined with silver you have the blue from the atoms of the silver that will help make purple or even green.
Yellow will not really ever happen, unless it is actually gold.
A super light silver fume will give a purple effect.
Is a carb cap absolutely necessary for my banger?
The simple answer is no, but they are highly recommended. When not using a carb cap, all of the air will go directly into the intake of the banger. When this happens, your dabs will not have airflow directed over them and tend to conglomerate over to a corner. A carb cap ideally will help direct airflow right on to your dabs which allows them to get pushed across the bottom of your banger, which allows the entirety of your dab to get properly heated. You also kind of turn you banger into a convection oven when you cap it, since the heat is not allowed to escape from the top of the banger. So no, you don’t need a carb cap, but you will get a much more satisfying hit and won’t need as big of a hit.
Can you use titanium to fume glass? Like gold and silver?
No, pretty much all metals have been tried and gold and silver work the best. Impure silver some believe gives a better effect than pure silver. We use pure 99.99% silver and are very happy with the results.
