No, cold start dabs will work on any banger thickness. BUT, the thicker the glass, the longer it will hold heat, but will also take longer to heat up.

Why is sleeving an important step in prep work?
Sleeving glass is very important when you work with colors or materials that can burn out easily from the heat. This could be as simple as a color like Cherry or any cadmium color. It also prevents burning out dichro, iridizing and opals. It also allows colors that may not work well, to get thinned out with the clear glass, making the colors more workable.
Sleeving also adds depth to the color, which is like a glass. I know it is glass, but it does seem to be more glossy with more clear on top.
If kief can scratch up glass why does it not scratch skin? or can it?
The glass should not get scratched by Keif. This is just the trichomes of the plant. Glass is much harder than keif.

Well, they are made in the USA, and they were the first super case made. Things made in the USA are always more expensive than things made in China or in other countries with lower labor costs.

We are not doctors so we can not know. But over the years we do feel that if the concentrate does have propane or butane in it is it NOT good. Most concentrate will use these solvents, but the solvents are removed so this should be safe.
Why is it so difficult to create pipes and waterpipes with squared edges as opposed to round?
Bubbles are easy, gravity, pressure and rotation are all that is needed.
Square pipes are way more work. The blower starts out with round, then has to shape it by paddles or a mold. Then cleaned and polished. These take much more time.
